About Me

Tee Watts

My dear mom probably should've been a calligrapher. With her flowing, giving left hand she showed me how to write my name at an early age Consequently, by the time my first grade teacher at Dudley Stone Elementary School in the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco got around to teaching my class how to write, I already could. My teacher was appalled. She made a highly inflammatory remark about me staying home to be taught by my mother. Therefore, the literary chip that I shoulder is partially the result of some obscure, probably racist teacher who had the audacity to cap on my mom with a stilted, premature version of the dozens, way back then.
